What would you guys recommend?? Should I get the whole thing and pay more, or could a Honda mechanic do the job?
IMO the final drive gears install doesn't have to be done by a Honda mechanic.
Are there other mechanics around where you live that work on final drive gears and/or differentials and have experience setting up final drive gears?

Keep in mind that your Torsen LSD is new.
Ideal would be that you send your complete diff in, pay for the install of the gears in the Comptech reinforced diff (and pay for that too ), and send a complete diff back to you.
Then you are still using your own (new) Torsen LSD.
Worth the $$ IMO.

I agree, the job requires someone who is experianced in working on differentials. If they do not set it up correctly the diff can fail, and it can be quite pricey! I'd imagine what you pay in shipping both ways would be about the same as paying a quality place to do the install.

Yes, you should do it together if you're definitely going to do the Comptech housing. I like what the other folks suggested, but it sounds like having it done to your diff from your car (as Spitfire mentioned) might put you out of commission for a while, seeing that you're in Columbia.

Maybe the guys at Rick's can give you an estimate for how long it would take.
