Default Buying a hartop

I'm thinking of buying a hardtop for my '00 s2k and have seen a 2nd hand one from a '02 model. I asked the person selling it if it came with the fitting kit (I heard somewhere you need to buy this) and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

Would this hardtop be a straight fit onto my car?

contact hardtopguy. I think he's still a sponsor here. There are some kits you need to buy, but he'll answer that better than anyone.

Good luck!

yes, you'll need a kit

* KIT-A ($178) - Required for Model Year 2000 w/ VIN lower than 5730
** KIT-B ($500)- Required for model year 2000-2001

Meant to mention - mine is a UK spec, does this make a difference?
Vin lower than 5730 - do you mean the last 4 digits?

Thanks

UK shouldn't be too much different. And yes, the last 4 digits.

With Kit-A prepare for several hours of installation time too. Jeff (hardtopguy) and helper got mine done in under 2hrs but don't expect the average honda tech to be anything inside of 6hr (my estimate)

you'll also want to take a look at the installation manual before you decide whether or not to take on the task yourself.

there are some random things that you'll need like a center punch, 3m weatherstrip adhesive etc. only part that seemed really uncomfortable to me was using the center punch to bend a corner gausset.

good luck!
