Im looking to purchase a my first s2000, rio yellow MY04/05. What is a fair price for this car? Ive called several dealers around my area, North Jersey, and they all have honored a price match of $30,995. Im also planning on getting a hardtop, rear deck spoiler. Thanks in advance.

 

That price sounds right for a 05.
Try to get the accessories from the dealer for invoice.

If not there are several vendors that sell OEM stuff for cheap

That's not a bad price, but if they offer you $30,995 on the phone, they can go lower in person. Do the old thing -- go in and offer $29,500 or something, they will probably tell you some crap about how that's impossible and they would be losing money at that price, ignore that and wait for a counter offer. If they don't give you a better offer, then leave and try elsewhere. Be patient, you're talking about $1000 to $2000, lots of money.

Some people will tell you things like "I got mine for $29,000, so you should too". It's not that easy, there's lots of variables. It depends on things like how long the car has sat on the lot, where you live, and how desparate the dealer is to move inventory. Some dealers have no problems selling S2000's and they wont budge. So, again, be patient and look around.

I bought my 04 last year from Garden State Honda in Clifton. I got it for $30,500. I think you can get AT LEAST another $500 off your quote.

Be persistent. They WILL cave.
