Default Buying an S2000 that has been damaged and fixed

A friend is looking at a 2000 S2000 that had about $4k of bodywork done on the side of the car from a collision. The work looks like its been done very well - you wouldn't know its been in an accident. However, it has and I am not so sure he should buy it. Plus there seem like a lot out there for sale that have had no damage.

How do you feel about buying an S2000 thats been damaged but professionall fixed - would it bother you?

I would not buy it unless it was an incredible deal!

That's just me though

There are plenty of s2000s for sale that have never been damaged...tell him to keep looking.

If you know what to look for you can ALWAYS tell when a car has body work.

Unless you know exactly what damages the S2K had and it's only minor, you're better off buying one that is not. Also, it better be a GREAT deal!
