Default Buying S2000 with High mileage?

Was wondering if anyone doesnt recommend buying a S2000 with higher miles...say 80K. What do you guys think? Safe? Or a big risk. I would consider a 100K tear down and overhaul in the future.

Thanks for you input!

What year is it?

High milage or not buying any used S2K depends on the abuse they went through. Most drivers are young.

Get it checked by a tech. and if you are giving it a 100K overhaul then you got nothing to worry about.

There's no reason wht a well cared for S2000 can't go well into 6 digit mileage. As others have mentioned, it depends a lot on how the car was used / abused. Obviously, wear items like tires, clutches, brakes, etc. may be at a poor state in a higher mileage car, but that's part of the reason why they're less expensive.

I thought you said it had high miles?

Thats just a teenager.....

Seriously, get a leakdown and compression test of the motor. If they come back with good numbers you should be home free.

Definitely not really that big of a deal. I have almost 80k and still running strong. Not like we having a timing belt change coming up
