Default C-Wings HT

I say that there is a C-Wings HT for sale here on the FS Forums.

Any input?

Should I just order the Authentic Mugen FRP?

Actually, I have heard good things about the CWings...the only negatives are that it doesn't come with all the hardware and you have to have someone install the glass. Other than that, it looks like fitment is good.

I've heard nothing but good things as well. Mine is coming in tomorrow from gofastperformance.com. The fitment is also perfect from what I have heard too. If you're referring about the hardtop from IIGQ4U, then go for it.

i looked into the C-Wings HT at one point, but I figured I'd rather not have the extra hassle of looking for where to get the hardware and rear window from.

The hardtop that I am selling is brand new and includes everything the hardtop, glass, all hardware and shipping. Not to mention the fact that the fitment is absolutely perfect.

That's great, I'm just saying, it's a knockoff of the Mugen design made in fiberglass and for many people just does not compare to the Aluminum OEM with headliner and heated rear glass.

The hardtop is made of the same material as the Mugen except that I have never seen one of these hardtops have gelcoat failure which is more than what I can say for Mugen.

Regarding the OEM hardtop, it is not even in question. I personally don't care how quiet the OEM hardtop may be, it looks like the Miata hardtop and that is reason enough for me to stay away. This vehicle receives enough Miata comments as is.

As far as the rear window on the Mugen hardtop, in my experience, I have found the interior defroster to be sufficient to clear the rear window.

I have found the aftermarket Mugen hardtops to be much quieter than the soft top alone and somewhat louder than the OEM when installed but definitely more livable than the soft top.

BTW, the OEM doesn't look too bad on your car

Actually, it looks better than a Miata HT

The thing I love about the OEM HT is the glass coming all the way down to the level of the trunk lid, the Miata and Z3 have that ugly little strip of body color on their HT just below the window, so for a bright colored car like mine you see a ton of extra black lines between all these elements.

I think the thing with the style HT like the C-West/Seibon/Mugen, soooooomuch of its look depends on how it is painted, and I'm not talking quality of paint but the design, body matching, all black, some black and some body matching, lots of ways it can be done. It's good there are options out there like this because we all can't like the same thing.

BTW- thanks, I love the look, and the really wide rear window is a big help on the track once in a while when some crazy fool tries to dive down the inside making a lunge for the apex.
