CAI Feedback, Please rate which one is tops
I have been seriously looking into CAI systems on the S. I really don't like the pipe and cone filter, kinda too loud. So was thinking about getting KN Replacement cone as well as a Spoon or similar Snorkle. Then someone told me about the Comptech CAI. It is alot cheaper than the snorkle alone and looks kinda cool. Also can use if I decide to SC later. I states that it is louder than stock, how much louder??? Does anyone have already. Please rate it from 1-10 and any other CAI.

Don't want to screw anything up.
Had a CAI on the Accord Coupe and during a bad downpour, sucked in water and was stuck for hours. Don't want same experience.
What would be good set up? Comptech, AEM, Injen, Spoon Snorkle/KN, or KN Typhoon, Mugen, Stock.
Feedback requested.

What is 4-IG?? Please elaborate
As far as price is concerned, if quality and effectiviness is high, than price does not really concern a lot of people unless it is something outrageous like $1500+ or something like that. I purposely left out Mugen because of the uncertainty of the company 1 and 2 well price too high and not very serviceable. Please fill me in some more.

I have the 4-ig and for the price its good. It was $135 shipped and it includes a K&N filter which is a must. My complaint with the kit is that the provided hoses are too large and need to be replaced unless you tighten the hell out of the fasteners in which case they will break and you will still not get a tight enough seal for the fluid line. When i contacted the company, they acknowledged the problem, but didn't offer to send me the correct size hose
1Fast99Si is correct. The hose sizes were wrong because they were sent to him wrong from ?Malaysia? maybe. The hoses cost me under $2 and i had the kit on with fair ease. The instructions that come with it arent that good, but they do include pictures and there are many posts here that completely explain how to do the vacuum lines correctly. Any way you go you will be satisfied. The price is the only big difference i see between them all.
It looks to me like the 4-igs guys are all over this forum (I think I just saw one of their banners attached to someone who posted on this tread). They also seem to chime in on any threads that mention CAI's. Not trying to hi-jack this thread, but if they are aware of the tube issue, why don't they correct it before sending it out??

After a little research on these boards, I went with the AEM CAI. Pretty easy install, decent instructions, plenty of help on these boards. Good price (around $220 on eBay), great sound, supposed gains (I've never dyno'd, but plenty of charts around).
I have no serious hydrolock concerns in Phoenix, but if you're concerned AEM makes a bypass valve for it.
