yeah. what do you mean by "sound".
when I was on the way to the Dragon, a friend of mine next to me was running the AEM....we got on it and it made this "popping" sound....like "cracking popping" .....if that makes any sense to you ( bad description)....just find a local with one before purchasing.....listen to what I'm talking about, then decide...some like the sound....I like it a little more throtty/deeper....of course the J's Intake, Spoon t/b & test pipe, and Comptech exhaust have something to do with it sounding much MUCH deeper than stock........that ASM is truly Pimp...bump only for the hardcore N/A JDM head w/ the wallet to match

My advice is this: Get a CAI that will draw cool air from IN FRONT of the radiator, and encases the filter and intake in a box (stock or not). I'm using an AUT radiator cooling plate and CAI I bought from an old and deleted "sponsored buy" on this board. I put baffles between grill and radiator to create "ram air" into the intake of the CAI, and insulated everything to keep hot engine and radiator air out.

This wouldn't suit all. It's actually quieter than stock. But no real chance for hydrolock, and extra 2 mpg, and the butt dyno says

Thanks,
Richard

I always thought the GD/AUT was great idea.....just remove your factory air guide so the air pressure can travel directly into the oem intake box....remove the divider and your good....try a Comptech or Spoon style filter (foam) .....you shoudl def notice a difference .....plus S2X is decent guy (and you can't beat his price )
