Calibrate speedometer
Used to be various freeways/highways had mile markers intermittently, counting up to usually 5 miles along a straight stretch. I used to measure time between miles to determine if odometer/speedometer were correct. 60 mph should equal 60 sec at each mile marker with 1 mi on odometer, etc. Could use any speed, actually.

Ah the good ol days when you could go 60mph for a mile or more un bothered.....I find the portable radar the local cities place alongside the road to be very helpful in determining the actual speed but back to the original topic, recalibration would definately be good! There should be a market for this.
Come on guys! That's what they invented GPS for. It is way more accurate than our speedometers at any speed above 15 mph. It isn't so good inside tunnels, though.
By the way, my GPS is a Silver/Black Garmin eTrex Summit. It also gives altitude/barometric pressure and direction and, of course, time.
The regular eTrex is Spa Yellow Pearl

I've got the Monte Carlo Blue Garmin eTrex Legend.
I find that my S2000 speedometer reads about 1 mph high up to around 50 or 60, where it's more like 2-3 mph high. That's just what I remember from checking the GPS a few times, I haven't done any systematic testing.
