Default Cams for NA Setup...

This post is obviously directed to all s2ki members, but more specifically the NA group, the traditionalists that spent there time and money on NA vs. FI. Im in the process of building my car right now (year 00), and want to stay NA. Ive seen many posts with quick references to a plethora of cams, however the only ones that seem to be mass produced are the toda ones. Ive heard some say schrick makes s2000 cams as well but I cant seem to confirm that.

CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME INFO ON AFTERMARKET CAMS!!! I understand that I will need to tune accordingly with them and that they might not be as reliable as the stock cams, but I am fully aware and prepared for any drawbacks associated with aftermarket cams. ALL COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED!!!

P.S. Anybody have other good recomendations for NA parts?

Hello ack5252. I am sure you have probably heard this more than once. I have heard of MINIMAL gains by using aftermarket cams. If you are tired of throwing money in the fireplace then maybe cams are for you. Good NA parts would be, this is just me saying this, Rick's 4.57 gears, V2 intake, maybe MAYBE a used header and a AEM EMS with a good tuner to tune it. That will put you into the 2500 dollar range and you MIGHT gain 25 to the wheels. I hope you find this helpful and please someone chime in if any of this info looks incorrect to you. Take care.

Crower and Skunk2 cams will be coming out soon, and according to speculations they will add around 10-15 rwhp.

Make sure your cams and header have the same goals in mind for best result. I would buy the cams and header from the same company.
