I've put 50k miles on the car in 4 years, including at least 3 trips from LA to Phoenix each year (also LA to Laguna, LA to Thunderhill, LA to Vegas, etc).

, there is a lot of tall s2k owners on this board! I'm only 5' 10" and thought I had problems getting in and out of the car. How do you guys manage this...

Are test drives impossible to get over there or something?

Take the car for a test drive - don't listen to other peoples opinions. Remember people are rarely the exact shape as you, whether it be due to longer legs/shorter torso whatever.

I'm a shortass, so it took me a little while to work out the best seat position for me to drive. I can't imaging tall people would need to position the seat in anything but the "all the way back" position.

If you don't like to drive it, then nothing else matters.

There is a thread in here somewhere about getting another 1/3-3/4 inches of headroom by modifying the seat tracks/base cushion. Do a search.

BTW, I'm 6-4 235lbs. fits me like a glove. But, I may do the lower seat frame mod someday. An inch of legroom would be perfect for long drives.

I'm 6'3", 185lbs and wear 34X34 pants and I love the way that this car fits me. It is a bit of a struggle to get the wallet out of the back pocket at the ATM, but I can handle it. I have absolutely no problems with a day long drive. I have had numerous days behind the wheel, usually going to and coming back from a group drive.

The only thing that I can't do is to downshift using the heel and toe braking/rev matching technique. My knee hits the back of the steering wheel and I can't move my right leg back far enough to let my foot move properly. The other thing that you don't want to do is to drive with the radio door open. It is very uncomfortable when it your leg hits it. I don't use the stereo anyway, so it's not a problem for me.

I love the look on people's faces when they see me walk up to my car. They can't believe that I can drive it. Or when I get out of the car, same thing.

No problems...I'm 6'-1" with 34" inseam. Not very graceful getting in and out with the top up but I will cope!!

6'4/5" 235lb, my MY01fits just fine (34" leg/inseam ) took a mate out the other day who has a MY04, he's the same size. Plenty of room

Test drive one, play with the seat adjustments.

I thought it was just me!!! Radio door and no heel-toe probs are right on the money.
