Alright...

I am thinking of getting this older gen civic / teg...and I was wondering if I would be able to drop a S2000 engine into it? Cuz...that would be soo tight!!!!

So...what do you think? Would it work? What would I need to do? How much would it cost? Plz let me know...thnx in advance...!!!!

well the F20C is a RWD engine that spins the opposite direction, am I correct? so, putting it into a CIVIC, you'd need to build a custom tranny, widen the car a bit, uhmm quite a bit to make things work unless you made the civic/teg into a rwd car which would entail quite a bit of custom suspension work. a lot of bucks would need to be dropped into this project to make it work no matter which direction you would look into.

There's a CRX with an NSX motor in it. The NSX motor was put in the rear. Fully race modified.

Here's a link to it.

Aside from engine turning the wrong way, you'd have a problem attaching a transmission to it or finding the right mounting points for it. Then you have to worry about a custom header etc.

For the money you would spend, you could probably trade the old civic in and spend it on an NSX!

it's been done.
it's very expensive (as noted here, far more than an S2000).

Pretty sure that an s2000 is much "tighter" than a civic with an s2000's engine...

Best bet is to put in a B18C engine. It'll drop right in. Tune it right and you could have 200whp.

Hell, I thought a simple coffee can exhaust mod would make the Civic the equal of an S. I've run across a few teenage boys who certainly thought it would.
