Can rear turn signals legally be hyperwhite?
My running lights, front turn signals, and clear side markers are hyperwhite. I don't even know if that is legal. Let me know what you guys think
Thanks

from what i hear, its very illegal, but it also depends on the cop..
i heard that all the turn signal lights has to be AMBER... you can make the housing clear but the actual light still has to be amber or you might get pulled over and the cop might mess with you.
just tell him you got the car used and thats the way it came

Interesting, what about all the ricers that everyone sees everywhere
You know, the blue lights, red lights, green lights, everything. I don't know, I've passed many cops at night with my blinker one, shinnin' bright white and never been pulled over. They are probably thinking the same thing I am, "is this legal?" Probably shrug and figure it's not worth the time
Thanks. Brandon

Yellow2001 is right. It's all a matter of local/state laws. In Maryland the code says that the lights can be white or amber or anything in between. Didn't keep me from getting a repair order for the WHITE lights on my GSR... That cop had nothing better to do.
But there are plenty of cars around with the little blue windshield washers and BLUE lights all around and the code says specifically that blue is illegal as well as red, anywhere but on the tail... (presumably because they resemble emergency vehicle light colors)

Yeah, and with all those different color lights they look like something out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I know some people who think it's cool to do this, but IMHO it's foolish. There are so many idiots behind the wheel the risk of someone getting confused and doing somethiing stupid when they see one of these cars is very real.

On top of everything else... I don't need another reason for the police to pull me over and waste my time. I tried installing some hyperwhites around the car, but ended up back at square one with stock...
If you're going to do it, at least get the PIAA Platinums... from what I've seen, they had the least blueish hue and most white light.
A little off the topic, but those clear taillights like you see on the Integra, Eclipse, etc - now those I just don't get. One, I think the quality tends to be very poor and they look bad. Two, when I hit my brakes I want the person behind me to have NO MISUNDERSTANDING WHATSOEVER that I'm slowing down.
