i love these threads so...
ap1 - higher redline, less torque, more raw
ap2 - lower redline, more torque, better daily driver, way way faster(jk)
Forgot to add "Only if it is a GPW, all other models are slower"

I think I seen, it Both prove good points, it's just a little confusing with the mapping/ecu between an 01 and an 03/04 I believe?
I didn't understand too much on it...
What year engines came with the 2.2L?

--these are some things that stood out--(I'm still reading the threads made here, Bare with me, I'm just trying to get a nice bang for my buck)

ap2 = 2004+ = 2.2L

in general its viewed that the 03 is the best ap1 and 04/05 (identical) are the best for ap2

of course, there are those who will disagree.. but thats a general pattern i saw

Which brings me to the point of "no replacement for displacement."
I mean, Honda Obviously capped off the lower RPM for a reason/and bigger liter correct?
Which is basically the arguement of everyone
Less Torque/More Torque etc...
Ohhh and What about suspension? any difference in the years?

Seems butt simple to me. Buy the newest one you can afford. They got better every year.

It has been arguably proven that AP2 suspension is the better. I have owned both, and had an '05 for about a week in between. The AP1 is notoriously twitchy. It gives a bit more feedback, but is known for snap oversteer. The AP2 is considerably more balanced. To some, it is more sedated, but most call it refined. Of course, MY06/07 added VSA or Vehicle Stability Assist to the mix
