People- look I may have misled you by using the word "agressive". I am not the asshole who tailgates you on a twisty road and then passes you on a curve in a no pass zone or goes full throttle in the rain. What I meant on curves like highway ramps and such I push the car- maybe I am not pushing it but to me I am. I think the Supra TC is too sensitive and kicks in when its not needed.

Bottom line- I must have S2.

Thanks.

Honda kept things simple on the S2000. Putting to much STUFF on it would just kill the "ROADSTER FEEL".
Just get the car. Have fun and drive safe.

Agree with PWRMKR. You can't tune into this car otherwise. TC would just get between me and the car IMHO. I believe that I can enjoy this car without endangering others on the roads that I travel. [A group of us ran RT. 26 between Marietta, Ohio and I-70 to the north. A 70 mile thrill ride! On the open parts of the road, we encountered slow traffic only once or twice and passed maybe 10-12 cars from the opposite direction. None of us felt on the edge and all had a great time.] The only time that I felt unsafe in the car was early on when I was driving "over my head" and wasn't being patient enough to allow my skills to develop naturally.

there's a deserted industrial area near my place of work. it's got lot's of empty multi lane tamac which is perfect for some opposite lock antics when i'm in the mood.

because of the intimate relationship between the gas pedal and the power delivery in the S, powerslides in 2nd have never been easier to induce. controlling it takes some skill and time, but ultimately rewarding when perfectly executed.

take it to a local autocross to learn its limits on a closed course. you'll have fun, find out how amazing it handles, and as an added bonus, you won't kill any innocents on the streets.

You don't need no stinking traction control. It's the unadulterated connection to the car and the road that make you say "I felt I had driven one of the finest sports cars ever made". TC would ruin that. It's just you, the machine and God. That's the way it should be.

I'm with cthree. But for a slightly different reason. TC would make the car more mainstream.

Remember when BMW's "stank in snow?" Before long, BMW made TC standard. Bam! Everyone drives a 3 now.

Plus, IMHO, the technological achievements of the S2000 are beyond a commonplace TC system.

At Fall Colors for the first time I saw people who'd modded their air intakes, mostly by removing the Honda air box. What blew me away is how incredibly small the F20C engine is. You never really see it with the stock air box in the way.

To get the kick we get outta such a tiny hunk o' metal is a more impressive display of technology than a pedestrian dose of ABS control software ever could be.
