Default Can't sleep

Too excited about tomorrow morning! S2k will arrive at my driveway first thing in the morning and transaction of the car will be done! Its a lovely 2001 Spa Yellow which the original owner seemed to neglect to have washed in a while. I know that after a good wash it will look beautiful. I'm new to manual and RWD cars, so I am going to take it easy for a while. I need to run out tomorrow and get some things to detail the car, especially the hazy rear window. Any suggestions about plastic polisher and how to clean the soft top? I don't think the car has been waxed for a long time, if I decide to wax now, will it be worth it?

Never wax on a dirty car.

Here are the general steps you should take:
1) Wash the car
2) Clay the car
3) Polish the car then
4) Wax the car

Claybar is the single best thing you can do to a 'neglected' paint finish. Nothing else you will do will matter if you don't start with a clean surface.

If you've never used a claybar before, read up on it in the Wash n Wax forum - it's not difficult, but you need to do it correctly.

Congratulations on the Spa!
