Default Car broken into...

Well, I have become a statistic for getting my car broken into for our seats. I came out to go to work and notice pieces of glass on my soft top. As I peak through from the driver side, I still notice my seats were there and come around to the passenger side. Glass everywhere and see bolts on the passenger feet. They had gotten 3 bolts out and something must've scared them off. They were at least nice enough not to rip my soft top but still. They didn't take a damn thing which I am glad but also surprised. I had my sunglasses on the dash, expensive air fresheners, ALOT of change in the cup holder, and 5 packs of cigarettes under the seat they were working on. I dont know. I am pissed that I have to take off work to take care of this issue now.

Anyways, I have been calling dealerships about replacing my window but all are out of stock and needs to be ordered. I have called glass shops and they seem to have only aftermarket windows. Now is there anything wrong with replacing them with aftermarket? I'm a little worried as I'm afraid the aftermarket won't seal properly or am I just being anal. I am pretty hot headed at the moment and can't really think straight so some advice would be appreciated guys. Thanks for letting me vent some.

Here are some crappy phone pics for whomever is curious.

Im sorry man. That really sucks. You can have the dealership order you one on rush delivery. It will cost more, but you will get it sooner. Also, at least at my local dealership. As long as you order by friday morning at noon, you will get your stuff on the following tuesday morning.

Well, you better get seat locks, because the thieves will probably be back soon.

As for glass, its all the same, but you may want to call a scrap yard and pull a sheet from a wrecked S - it will save you money.

how about a nice alarm would work too. esp. one that has a 2way remote that tells you that the alarm is going off. if you have the shock sensor up all the way and they hit the window the alarm will go off and you will be out there ASAP. or they may just see the lil red blinking light and think twice about what they are going to do.

i'm curious as to what these are?
the air spencers? or something else?

it sucks that this can happen, and that it happened at a place you practically have to be.
it's time to invest in some visual and hidden deterrents.

LOL at the expensive air fresheners. A little hot headed as I was typing and not really thinking straight. I did have an alarm but they must've done a really smooth job not letting the alarm go off. It sucks but I am glad nothing was taken.

Anyways, thanks for the kind assurance. I feel a little better now and got a great deal on a new glass from honda for $162 plus tax. It'll be in tomorrow and I should be installing it then or on Thursday. Now, for the ones that have replaced their own shattered glass, how did you clean up all the glass in between the panels as well as get the broken piece out of the runners? I just took a quick look so I don't know exactly. I'll figure it out in time.

Well, thanks for letting me vent and hope these good for nothing people get what they deserve. What is more upsetting is I rarely park it outside and when I finally do, this happens. It almost makes me want to park outside again because I know they will be back for sure. And this time they will have a glock sticking up their asses.
