I've said it before and will again. Comparos and car vs. car comparisions should be put in OT. They aways turn into crap and I'd rather not have them here.

Cthree, I respectively disagree with you. I find the car comparisons start off at least interesting. If they turn into crap, it is our fault, the respondees, for turning into crap, not the topics.

 

Cthree, I agree with neppi, for what it is worth.

What could be more "Car Talk" than "Car vs Car Talk."

I'd make the "I smoked a 427 Cobra in downtown Manhattan" off topic. In fact, maybe I'd open a whole separate forum section called "Obscene driving by obscene drivers" for those threads, but I'd leave the "S2K vs some-other-car" stuff in "Car Talk."

Just my two cents. I love this website. You own it. Do as you see fit.

I'm with the others. I don't particularly care for comparisons but to say they're off topic because they degenerate isn't appropriate IMHO.

I think I am one of those who donated to the whole car v. car thing. Cthree did respond to one of my postings complaining that the current car I drive and why I bring these up which I thought was totally from left field.

But it's your board. Starting to sound like a grouchy old man.
