Car Cover
My 03 stays in the garage most of the time, but I do want to buy a custom fit outdoor cover.Anyone have a Coverking or CoverCraft cover? Like it?
I don't use the OEM cloth cover and plan to sell it.It looks great, but really is an indoor storage cover.
Thanks

I've got a CoverCraft Noah and I'm pretty satisfied with it. The side mirror pockets and the antenna pocket are perfectly placed and it's really easy to take on and off. Also, the Noah material breathes, so any condensation beneath the cover has a chance to escape.
I leave my S2000 outdoors, but I'm in California. I haven't experienced any torrential downpours, but the Noah cover has kept my car dry during light rain. Light breezes are no problem for the cover, but gusts of 25+ mph have blown my cover off. Tying it down on windy days fixed the problem.
If you end up getting a Noah cover, use some duct tape to reinforce the parts of the cover that contact the tire area. My cover is starting to fray along the wheels after only two months of use.

I have a covercraft "Evolution" cover (blue) custom fit and love it. Have had it for a year and it is money!
Kept my car clean through the winter 15inches of snow, pollen in the spring, and thunderstorms that roll through in the summer, car stays clean and dry.
Best cover I ever invested in. Honda only sells the Dust cover for the S2000.

Superchrqds2k, is the Covercraft Evolution cover made of Tyvek? Bought my son a BMW OEM cover for his Z$ I bought him for med school grad. It is Tyvek...breathes and keeps car dry. would like one for the S2000 in same material. Have OEM onda cover, but it only a dust cover. Want one to use on weekend trips on hotels that is rain proof. Thanks for input.
It says its fabric is made of Kimberly-Clark and provides excellent protection in all weather conditions. A 4-layer composite, ultrasonically laminated for high degree all weather protection while remaining breathable and providing the best UPF UV protection of all the K-C fabrics. (soft inner layer to protect the paint)
It has the mirror pockets, and antenna pocket, and actually covers all the way to the ground so not just a quarter of your wheel is exposed.
Also you can run a lock on the cover and it has a 4 year warrenty.
I hope this helps, I love this cover, car stays dry during the summer sudden downpoors so I dont have to wash he car again

No cover is going to be waterproof, because it has to breath and if it doesnt, mold would grow. This cover does an Excellent job! It will hold back a ton of water before it eventually penetrates through the cover. (usually a 24hr period of rain)

I have bought 2 of the original Honda S2k covers. They are great. I have used this cover every day for the last seven years when I go to work. It has protected my car beautifully. Don't sell it, use it.
superchrqdrs2k, thanks for input. I agree with need to avoid mold with breathablility. I need to check out the Z4 cover. Had it on my son's Z4 all winter with heavy padding underneath to protect in event of hail. Padding never evidenced any sign of moisture. Membrane materials...best known is Gore-Tex, .....if a PTFE telfon membrane, can be guaranteed waterproof/breathable.....other membrance known as Tyvek (commonly a house wrap, rain suits, etc) and a host of knock-off Gore-Tex membranes can be waterproof and breathable. Proper seam taping is critical to true waterproofness. Gore-Tex, with leading market position, is generally expensive....used in ECWCS GenI/II/III military rain gear....is fantastic fabric. Traditionally a 3-layer system with PTFE membrane in middle. Now new 2-layer versions are extremely thin and packable for space conservation. Would be great for car cover to carry on trips. Think Z4 cover is Tyvek style material. will do more checking. Again, appreciate your insight.
