Am after some advice.

I live in the UK, bad weather is starting and have resorted to driving the old car to and from work so the stook is living up the driveway.

So in need of a car cover that can stay on for extended periods of time, want to protect the car as best I can. Concerned about condensation and any other problems that might happen? Where or who do a good quality car cover?

Cheers for the replies,
Anthony

I highy recommend the Weathershield cover. It is, bar none, the best (I also have the Noah and never use it because it's bulky, heavy and leaks water like a sieve). The Weathershield is almost waterproof, very lightweight, cleans in your washing machine, and folds up into a very small package. I've used mine through snow storms, freezing rain, and all other kinds of bad weather and it's always done the job. There's nothing better out there.

I'd do a search. Someone posted a message with the last few weeks about getting it for under $200 from some place, which is a great price.

I bought mine from Classic Motoring Accessories, but I paid too much.

Hi guys,

I just ordered my WeatherShield car cover from a company called Ameri-Brand for $210.78 + shipping. Here is there URL http://www.websweeper.com/newcarcovers/calpha.htm

The price seemed reasonable and they are currently offering a special for a free storage bag, cable, and lock. The part number for this item is C16104WG and C16104WT, there are two colors available grey and taupe hence the two different part numbers. The gentleman on the phone recommended the grey due to it sun resistant properties.

Hope this helps.

I just ordered my weathershield from autoanything.com (
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/autoanythingst...thershield.html). It was $195 plus $15 for the bag and lock. With the bag, lock, tax, and shipping, my total came to $237. They said it takes a couple weeks to get it because weathershield doesn't make them until you order them.

So, do I need to carry a car duster with me and dust the car before putting the cover on?

That is a great price indeed. Most places I have checked was priced in the $200 - 230 range. I have also been told that it could take couple of weeks for the same reasons that you have stated.

I was meaning to post something similar on the board about this same issue. I would hate for the combination of dirt (on car), car cover and heavy winds to scratch the paint on my car.

Maybe Rick or others with experince will chime in.

I have a Noah from California Car Cover. It is a little bulky, but keeps the car dry.

I have the Noah cover. With continuous rain the car surface will get wet. The cover will draw water through to the points where the cover touches the car. The Noah cover does give a bit of ding protection because of it's thickness and stays on the car quite well in wind. The Weathershield is much, much lighter, but I understand the best cover. When my Noah is worn out I plan to buy the Weathershield.

Since there aren't any major body style changes, I'm assuming that the 2001 car cover fits my 2002. Please let me know if you know either way. Thanks.
