Take that same 56K, buy the Mercedes SLK32, also in the August edition of Car & Driver, and blow away the S2000, Boxster, Boxster "S", Corvette, Porsche 911 and may others all the way to 155 mph or change the chip in the SLK32 and take it on up to around 180!!!!

Took a look at your avatar. Do you drive naked? If you do, the meat cleaver may be more difficult to explain to the Mounties.

And while you are taking a corner in your leather-chrome infested interior and you are sipping on 5 different types of coffee because you have enough cupholders, you will spin out and mow the lawn in your, luxo-roadster-wanabe-fast-car-poser-mobile.

Anyone can drop a bigger engine and make a car faster.

A mugenized S2000 would be much more then that.

I think fishing and a bbq sounds great. I wish Car and Driver had more articles about great places to fish or great ways to cook your fish, or how to $hit in the woods.

Has anyone checked out Sport Compact Car? It amazes me that the Neuspeed and Comptech S2000's are slower through the 700ft slalom and that the Neuspeed car made no additional power. Whats up with these.

I think that the real lesson here is that car magazines are completely useless and cretinous.

Not entirely true....I think the Car and Driver article shows a GREAT picture of the Mugen S2000 at speed....once again proving that black is the best color for the S2000.

I tend to get the "big three" mags for nothing more than what I picked up books for in pre-school and college, .....for all the purty pictures.
