Default Car drives different every day

Hi Guys ,

So i have been driving the s2k for over 5 months now and put around 6000 miles on it so far. One thing i noticed is the car drives different everyday , sometimes it accelerates very strongly and evenly from the first gear to the last , sometimes it chokes between 3000-5000 rpm range and then accelerates. this is on the same tank of gas.

does anyone have that behaviour? is that something wrong with my car or common with all s2ks.

My car was brand new btw , and i am the first owner.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's either something wrong with your car or there isn't.

If your car really drives different everyday, maybe you should have it checked out.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your car. My car drives different from day to day also. Some days I wonder why I ever thought the car felt quick and other days I wonder why I ever thought the car felt slow I usually notice it feels doggish when it is very humid out.

If humidity is a factor that explains it. I live in the fogbelt of san francisco.

Humidity is a big factor with any car ecspecially NA cars that have to rev to make power. When it is humid there is more moisture in the air, water, which means that your car is still sucking in the same volume of air it always does but a larger percentage of that air is water which does not combust very well. So on humid days performance drops way off, and on cool days performance goes way up because the engine is breathing in dense cool air which is excellent for combustion. The effect is amplifed in our cars because they have relativly small displacements, therefore they need all the air they can get, hence the huge airbox on our cars. So day to day performance really can change alot based on temperature and humidity.

Also, your car will drive better the cleaner it is.
