I have a red, use the CA Duster at least twice a week...no swirlies. But black shows things that no other color does...
Anyone with a black use the duster?
I bet it's perfectly fine. I used to use it on the Sherwood Green Accord and it worked great...

I've posted many times, and I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but I got a lot of swirl marks with the California Duster. Where I live, there are a lot of heavy, gritty dust, and the duster just dragged the dust across the car. I don't use it anymore. My car is blk.

The duster does a great job of picking up dust - no matter what color the car is. BUT, if you've got dirt on the car too (like after going on a long run, or after a rain shower), it will still pick up the dust particles, but will also collect the dirt particles and spread them around at the same time. Hence the swirl marks.
OTOH, although I recommend getting one, only use it after doing short runs, or for removing dust that accumulates on the car in the garage.

Black S2K owner here, and make a LOT of use of the duster... both the large one for the outside and the small one for the inside...
No swirls, but its up to the owner to decide at what point there is enough dust/dirt on the car to warrant a wash.

Dude I live just south of you and my Black /Red looks just fine after repeated California duster uses. I use it about every other day. Like the folks said before, it's good for light dust, but you'll need to hose off any grit before the duster gets to it. I think the California Duster is a Godsend. I can't imagine how else I would keep my StooK looking good. The dust build-up is noticeable after one day. And this is with a garaged car!
This is my second black car. My first was parked outside and looked like crap all the time. It was a Maxima SE (sold many years ago). The S2K is in the garage in the evenings and covered (Honda cover) when outside in the the parking lot at work.
