car got vandalized!

so i go to see the new xmen movie last night, come outside to finda note on my window from an officer because a "6 foot tall 15-16 year old african american male" decided it would be funny to climb up onto the roof of my friends car and jump onto the front of mine, crushing in the top of my front drivers side fender
dude ran off but some girls in the lot saw and called the police, prob no chance of them catching him, hopefully he broke an ankle or elbow when he hit my cari'm taking it to a friend for an estimate and if it's not really expensive i'm just gonna pay for it outta pocket so my insurance won't go up, but if it's alot i'm gonna give em a call and make a claim on it
maybe i should think about some carbon fiber or aftermarket fenders? all i've been able to find are seibons for like $784.
anyone have some other brands or types to consider?
or any input on how well aftermarket fenders tend to fit?

I'd try to find out the weight of the OEM fender compared to the CF. I bet there is not much difference...the metal is pretty thin.
You know with the OEM it is going to fit perfectly, so then it is just up to the body shop to match the paint to get it back to perfect.

That is going to cost roughly 900-1000 dollars for a new replacement item, with paint and labor at a Honda dealership. I know because someone hit my passenger fender back in November in a parking deck. My insurance deductible was only 250 for a hit and run, but since this is not the case with you, it would have been 500 (I don't know what your limits are).
In my case, it was worth it to get the 700 dollar check (after 250 deductible) and I found the same color fender off an 04 junker from a junk yard with no damage for only 250. In this case, I netted about 450 dollars off of the accident. Since yours will be a comp claim, it's probably just best to find a used fender from a junkyard if your comp $ is over 250, and just buy it yourself.
In any case, call up your insurance and report it, and get an adjuster out to your car to assess the damage, and decide whether or not it's cheaper to have them cut you a check (always take a check from insurance, never "get it fixed" somewhere because you can find parts cheap and recover your deductible cost), or to just buy it outright off a junker.

Someone hit my old car (GLI) on the fender and it had a HUGE indention bigger than yours. It was also on the bend of the fender; they popped it out, shaped it, and repainted it to look brand new. Flawless work cause I'm quite picky but they only charged me $200. I know the owner and the crew well so I dunno if it's just family charge or what but wasn't a bad price to me.
