Car hit again
I can't believe it but my car has been hit for the third time. I have owned it since June, and it has been hit three times while parked. I walk to work, and it is always in my garage day and night, unless I am driving, or going out, or going shopping. Not once has the other driver stopped, but once I chased her down. Fortunately the first two times, they were minor scratches, but this time I am going to get it repainted, and of course I do not know who did it.
I have owned cars for almost 30 years, and this is the first time my personal car has gotten hit. I live in a small town, and it is not like big city driving. What is it about this car? Is it the color? (silver), Is it because it is small? Or low to the ground?, Or are people just stupid? Or am I just having a bit of bad luck? Has anyone else had this problem?

when discussing the number of hits several people have had, like yourself, with another stook owner the other day - we're coming to the realisation that the majority of them (unpolled, not verified) seems to be silver s2k's.
Anyone have any similar opinions?
Sorry to hear about the misfortune.

It may be the silver color. I have had my silver hit 3 times also. It has had the rear bumper replaced twice and a new skin for the drivers door. I think because of the color and size it must assume the appearance of it's surroundings. From the posts I have read, silver seems to get into more minor accidents while the blacks and reds are in the major ones (not and indictment just an observation).
Probably its the silver. I have had several very close accidents with SUVs and other cars. First they cut into my lane without signalling or signaling when they are in the midst of cutting, and I had to swerve diagonally into the next lane with cars. In some cases, I had to go cut into the shoulder or the grass part on the highway to avoid a collision. Quite scary.
i've driven silver hondas quite a few times, including my current cars, and I must admit as good as they are hiding the dust and grime, they are also invisible to many drivers. I realize the drivers just aren't paying attn, but so many of them these days barely know how to drive that the silver color has not helped. I always drive with headlights on, and am looking forward to getting airhorns. I just hope I dont have to get one of those neon flags that recumbent bicycles use for visibility on my S2K to be seen. In short though, I just drive like everyone is after me (roadster and cyclist's rule of the road). As far as parking though, no ideas here, maybe magnetic reflective strips for the night time? Proximity alarm for day?
