Question Car Insurance in LA?

Hey guys,

I'm about to get my s2000 and I was curious about how much you LA drivers pay for insurance. What is the best/cheapest company to go with? Thanks!

Jim

I live in Irvine, Orange County and found that the cheapest insurance for the S is Mercury.

$205 a month....ouch?

I guess it helps to be 30, homeowner, married, and a child..............I've had my fair share of tixs, but not in the past 5 years .............

here is NW Chicago burbs...........with the profile mentioned above.......and with a fairly large insurance company(LIberty Mutual).......... rate is around $560 a year.

Sorry to here about your dilemma.......can't control how old you are, but you can definately control the urge to speed or show off..............

I am not in California but...

It has a lot to do with your age and any previous tickets.

I am 20 and have had my fare share of speeding tickets so my insurance company pretty much is rapping my on price

I go through State Farm and they had the best rates out of all the other companies I checked with.

Right now I pay $205 a month
$205 a month would not be that much in so cal considering your age and driving record.

i have wawanesa and i pay 2100/year for full coverage. they were the 3rd cheapest, but the only one of the 3 i would've trusted. so far so good, but i have not yet had to make a claim, but i know people who have with good results.
on the flipside, the avg. price i got in west la was around 3700/year. i even got quoted $625 a month $7500/yr. by 21st century. shop around, or try wawanesa.

Pretty expensive in Los Angeles. Between 2-3K for full coverage is normal for an s2000 above 25 and with no tickets. Kind of ridiculous there (and I live there hoping to move to greener pastures with nicer twisty roads). Overall, it really depends on insurance company and your profile. Well, my friend pays 4K/yr for driving his 911.
