Default car keeps popping out in second gear

hi.
This is my first post...I have a '03 model, with around 2k miles on it...engine was properly broken in and all. I have a slight problem though....in second gear, the shifter would sometimes pop out when going downhill or on bumpy roads. It would sometimes happen during acceleration and deceleration. I took it to the dealer in Pasadena, but they said they wouldn't fix it unless I or they can replicate the situation...what should I do about it now? Thanks.
P.S...its happened to me about 10 times already.

Although I've never had this problem with my '03, the service people at the dealer are correct, it's hard for them to fix a problem they can't see or reproduce. If you can consistanly reproduce the problem under the conditions you specified, you should be able to setup a time that YOU can take the tech for a drive and show them. I wouldn't trust them to reproduce it on their own time.

There is a TSB out for this, but it's out for MY01 and MY02's. It could also apply for SOME early MY03's, but I'm pretty sure that Honda rectified this problem with the MY02's. If this has been a persistant problem, you need to get it fixed. Personally, if I owned an S2000, and this happened more than once (or with any car), I would have that car to the dealer so fast...Someone with more knowledge of the TSB's correct me if I"m wrong, but isn't this a common complaint?

My car popped out of 2nd gear once when i hit a bump. It is an 03 as well.
My top makes noises when I go over bumps. What could the dealer do to eliminate this creeking? Sorry to hijack the thread, i just never knew there was a TSB for it on the 03's. Has anyone taken their car in for this roof rattle TSB?

Not that I know of, maybe you could be the first. If there's a TSB and you notice the problem, they should fix it for you.

Also, (not that I'm questioning your manual transmission shifting ability) are you sure you are all the way in second gear when this happens? You do only have 2k miles on the vehicle and it can sometimes take some getting used to on the operation if you're not familiar with it's design function.

Hmm, I've got a '03 that has popped out of 4th gear. It goes in next week. It has only done it three times in 4500 miles.

do you guys like to rest your hand on the shifter? this puts premature wear on your synchros and can cause the shifter to pop out.
