Car shipping?
I will be moving in the next month or two, back to Seattle Wa. Ive never shipped a car before, what needs to be done, normally how much do they run you, any good tips to look for when doing this. also I need a good company that will do it and not take forever and will take care of my car. I will shipping it from VA to WA. any info will help thanks
I used DAS to ship our Honda Civic from DC to CA in Feb 08. It took roughly 10 days and they did an excellent job. They have varying levels of service so your costs will vary. It cost us $900 to ship and that included damage insurance and a couple of other options that skip my mind at the moment.

Edit: One more thing - Don't try to stuff your car with personal belongings. They won't ship the car. (I had to try, right?)

FYI here's an article I wrote for Team-Integra.net that should answer most of your questions:

I highly recommend http://www.horselesscarriage.com/ - they shipped our 72' 240z from Atlanta to Houston for us in about 3 days, no incident. When the truck pulled up and the driver dropped the rear gate, there were about 5 Ferraris and 2 Maseratis inside. My jaw just about hit the ground.
