Default Car stalling at idol. Does anyone have any input before I take it to Honda.

I have a 2000 model year with 13,800 miles. At idol, the car stalls. This problem began today. The service bulletin for the spark plugs has been taken care of. Any input? Will it be covered by warranty?

will be covered by warranty... as long as you have maintained your car.

Tap the MAP sensor and make sure it's plugged in completely.

Eternal idols or just pop idols? Mine does not stall, maybe has no idols.

Was it a craven idol or just a plain old regular idol? Sometimes those evil idols can be a problem.

The problems is, you don't drive the car too much! 2000 model year with 13,800 miles! J/K.

Try MacGyver's suggestion or do a search on MAP sensor.

PS: My car has stalled a couple times and occasionally "almost stalls". I'm just going to live with it, i'm not wasting my time with honda service dept.

Honda service will not be able to daignose the problem, so they will blame it on bad gas. Make sure you remember to state you have gone through a few tanks and brands with the same idle problem.

I tried the "tapping" thing, and still not fixed. Any other suggestions?

Honda service manager said if it were the MAP sensor that was the problem, a dash light would turned on.

Help?

Unfortunately, the Check Engine Light doesn't come on when we experience this type of thing. The dealer will be of little or no help with this situation. I've had numerous dealings with them regarding what we think are MAP sensor related issues.
