Default car wont start

i went out today to leave and well the s2000 wont start. Does anyone know what it could be? i got the feeling it isnt the alternator cross fingers. the reason why is that the battery is already about 3.5-4 years old. And also my alarm works fine, the interior lights work fine, the radio works, but the car wont start. the car cranks but cant get the igition to start.

just wanted to know if you guys have any idea beofre i take it in. i worked all day today so didnt have time to take the car to get fixed.

thanks for any input.

You can push start the car that means, you have to get the car rolling and stay in 2nd gear and have someone push you, but you have to be rolling pretty good, so once you start rolling pretty quickly make sure the key is in on, put it in 2nd gear while pressing the clutch down release the clutch quickly and gas it real hard should have no problem starting unless your alternator is done.

sounds like a dead battery.

the above approach will work but if your battery is toast, you'll get stranded again. i'd suggest going to autozone and getting the battery checked.

That happened to me once and it turned out it was one of the battery cables being corroded so after getting it jump started I just washed it off. $0 fix FTW.

Same thing happened to me when I bought an S that was basically stored its whole life. I think you have a dead battery, like I did.
