Default Carbon Build-up after spark-plug recall

Help me out here...

My wife drives the S2000 to work, less 4 miles from home, and she never gets it over 5000 rpm much less to 8000. A month ago we had the sparkplug recall done, just about the same time, I stopped driven it. Now she is having problems with carbon build-up. I have tried to show her what was causing the problem--with no luck. To make her feel better about it took it to the shop just to be told exactly what I already knew. Does anyone have any ideas before I trade her in (the wife not the car--Ha, Ha, Ha).
Have any of you ran arcoss this problem before?

You just need to drive it every weekend. run it through all 6 gears @ 9k. That will fix it.

And you will have on of these to go with it

It's called a "Ferrari Tune-Up."
