Default Carbon Fiber Cooling Plate

I'm trying to guage interest in a possible group buy. A while ago another member did a group buy on these carbon fiber cooling plates. What do you think? Would you be interested. I bring this up because there are a few companies out there that make something very similar to this but either A. terrible customer service or B. price is quite high. Please respond with what you think. Thanks

Im not sure whether you are allowed to post this thread in here - I am awaiting clarification from the admins on that, so for now Ill leave it here.

I will say though, that you as a member cannot ORGANIZE a GB - you have to be a vendor/sponsor for that. The company you decide to offer the GB through also has to be a site sponsor, otherwise the GB cannot be conducted on this site.

Those are the rules as I understand them - I will keep you posted.

Any questions just pm me, otherwise you can continue with this for now

I got that exact CF cooling plate as shown in the picture up top, but by a company called Garage defend that was sent from Japan! Had to wait for a year for it to arrive. Except mine also has the air box scoop directing air directly into my airbox. But make sure you get a Comptech drop in air sponge filter with this setup! This setup has been proven to show a little more power than a cold air intake.

is it true that you need to file down the hood latch so that the latch will fit in the comtech box, so that the hood can close?

I guess I better jump in here a little bit. A while ago cjb80 and I did a group buy that went just ok. (these where designed by cjb80 and are not the Garage Defend one) The builder that was making them was very slow. The finished product is great but it took him forever. So we stopped taking orders.

If infact we have enough interest, I will take the one I have on my car and have it copied and I will start and host the GB. But I need to see how much interest we have before I'll honestly put any effort towards it only because I'll have a ton of work to do on it and but there's no sence in doing it if there's not enough interest shown.

The price during the last GB was $275 each if I remember correctly.

This is a picture of mine:
