I got a chance to see several carbon fiber hooks last weekend...
All I have to say is: ALL of them had severe chips from road trash...I don't mean like pits either-- I'm talking 2-4mm CHIPS out of the clear.
Apparently whatever coats the carbon fiber is brittle, and impacts from small rocks really tends to tear it up.
Anyone else notice this?
