Default Carbon fiber lip question

Hey everybody. I'm finally getting around to installing my MVP motorsports front lip. It nice piece, with a good fit/finish. My only concern is with the top edge. I know that the factory spoiler has a protective strip on the top edge so it doesn't damage the bumper. Has anyone with this lip made a protective strip? If so, what did you make it with. I was thinking of using some small rubber vacuum line. I'll probably put a slit in it, install it on the top edge and see how it fits. Any suggestions are appreciated.

when i installed mine i didnt put a strip.. but i wasnt planning on taking it off either..... they have holes made.. but 2 of them dont line up.. but the ones that DO line up seem like enough support for the whole lip..... its really late, hopefully this would make sense in the morning =P

Line the lip with double-sided tape. It would fill in the tiny gaps if there are any and would prevent any paint damage to your bumper.
