The more carbon fiber on your car, the faster it goes. The secret is that tiny invisible pixies like to nest in carbon fiber. These pixies naturally exude pixie dust. Pixie dust repells exhaust fumes. Since the exhaust is at the back of the car, the pixie dust pushes the car forward.

So the more carbon fiber, the faster your car goes. Watch out that you don't tailgate anybody, though, or their exhaust will actually slow you down (pushing on the pixie dust from in front). But hey, you can't get something for nothing.

some CF parts are just more then few hundreds bucks.
People get CF since they are lighter however, s2k parts are already pretty light so i think people get them for looks.

Hood for example...you wouldnt be saving much weight but some people get it for vents to let heat out.

hope that helps a little.

Carbon fibre is a composite material that has a very high strength to weight ratio. So, essentially very little weight is needed to make a strong structural part. Weight is the enemy in any race car. That is why it is used in big time racing like F1.

Theoretically, S2000 carbon fibre parts replacement parts are for weight reduction. Realistically, most of it is to look like a race car and be stylish. Very few parts are for legitimate performance upgrades, and more about the bling.
