Carbon Fiber Trunk Fitting
CF trunk install it says to take out the springs so you wont damage or warp the trunk like viper said.
you took out the springs correct?
so i would figure it might be a little harder to open

also...when i pop open the trunk..i have to use some force while using the option button to get it open...thats not normal is it?
Pushing the remote button harder doesn't make the function work any better. It's electronic and not directly connected to the trunk release.
Sounds to me that you need to adjust the latch properly. It's probably not holding the trunk lid right. You can't just put on a new trunk lid and have the latch mechanism grab the lid catch the same way.

I took my springs out..and it sat perfect...
but of course ...when i press my trunk button on my remote...the trunk doesnt pop up..i have to manually pull it open....but nothing major...its part of having a cf trunk and for it not to warp...
