I concour I have never read a single bad thing about the Mugen CF hardtop.
Oh wait one thing.....THE PRICE!!!
As they say you pay for what you get. Top price brings top quality.
Also for the one asking both the Siebon and the Mugen hard top use the same parts as the OEM hardtop to attach to the car. The Mugen comes with every thing you need.

It's basically a wet vs. dry carbon situation, just like with cf hoods, trunks, doors, wings, etc.
Wet carbon looks nice, but it is similar to fiberglass in terms of manufacturing, strength, and weight. It is often backed by fiberglass with a layer or two of cf weave to give it the right look.
Dry carbon is, well, amazing. It is super strong and super light. It's also much harder to manufacture (but almost always perfect quality, because the manufacturing process is much more precise).
I think weight alone is not worth the $2000+ difference in price. I mean, 10-20lbs? You can shave 10-20lbs elsewhere on your car for much less. Or you can go on that diet you've always wanted to
The quality, however, is worth alot. Whether it's worth $2000+ is up to you.
Keep in mind that depreciation is the true cost of owning something. Once you sell it, you'll probably recover quite a bit from both hardtops, so the Mugen one won't necessarily cost you $2000+ more in the end. It might even cost you less!
