I've had many opportunities to use the high beams. In fact, I like those 85W PIAA Super Whites so much, I use them as often as I can. The HID's light patter is so well defined, they don't project as far as the high beams.

The Solaris Ultra White bulbs should produce more light because they are higher wattage than stock (90-100 Watts vs. 55). Did anybody else compare them to stock? As far as saying all 55W bulbs are the same is not true. They may be close to each other, but some bulbs could be more efficient. You can buy incandescent bulbs for your home that put out the same lumens as a slightly higher wattage bulb. Getting twice the light though is not possible using the same technology.
