Any way someone can run a car fax for me. JHMAP21424T001747

I was looking at this 2004 yellow s2000 with 32,000 miles for only 9,900 in WI. I thought this was a little low becuase I has sold my s2000 a few months ago in toledo for 16,800. The guy said he need to get rid of it and it is a bad time of the year and also its up north. What do you guys think. Thanks!

that is so odd, where did you find this. That is the car i was looking at on autotrader and it was listed as privite. What is going on here, any ideas. The guy who was going to sell it was listed in WI.

 

Its probably a scam (obviously), but you should keep going forward with the deal just to see what happens. Have him send you pics and such.

 

How did I find it? I googled the VIN and that for sale ad came up.

 

Car fax is clean. as of 1-31-2008 its only showing 1 owner and last reported saftey chack was @ 9-28-2006 in Quincy, MA It is a MA car. Now keep in mind. A car fax is only as good as the dealer or bodyshop that reports to it. Most small body shops do not, so you could still be looking at a an unknown car. I would say take someone who either apraises cars. They can spot paint work/ damage or take someone who does bodywork/paint work, they also will have a good insight. I would also tell you make sure you look @ the underside. make sure its not all tore up. my .02 cents Dain

Funny you say its in WI, the carfax says it's been in MA it's whole life with no history reported out there. Something is fishy about this $9900 deal.

Has the S dropped in value this much or is this a winter thing?

Seems fishy but I've seen some pretty crazy deals thrown out there by motivated sellers. They have their reasons sometimes.
