Default Carpet Failing Fast!

After 3 months and 2000 miles carpet is cutting through at rear of cross member on both driver and passenger side. There is also a "cut" on top of crossmember just left of tunnel on driver side. Anybody else had this experience?

I had a feeling that the cross member would be a quick wear item, so my first purchase for the car was Muz mats.

I've had Rick's carpets in MY02 for over a year now and they still look brand new.

My stock carpet is breaking through right under my clutch heel. Is this happening to anyone else? Looks like I should buy some Muz product too.

I'm having similar issues with the crossmember. I plan on replacing the carpet with black (I have red), so I'm going to get the nice mats then, in black.

Mine is the same way right now in the S. The carpets used in the S2000 are a POS. The carpet in the Trans Am held up extremely well that they still looked new after 5 years. Maybe Honda should ask GM what carpet they use so they can put them in the Hondas.
