Default Cashed in my extended warrantee

If you haven't used your extended warrantee you can cash it in and get a pro-rated refund. I figured since no dealer would allow me to use the warrantee with the goodies I have I might as well get a couple bills back.

Anyone else done this? How much did you get back. I'll post my results in a couple of months.

I wont, the E warranty isnt good for small stuff but if anything large breaks engine, trnasmission etc which costs 1k or more I'll be glad I have it. I just can't afford ot be throwing out large amount of $$$ for repairs with me in grad school so its my insurance on that you could say.

I think Sideways is saying if you modded the hell out of your car like he did, they probably wouldn't honor the extended warranty, especially for expensive repairs like "engine, trnasmission etc."

If you don't need it, or they will deny you why not, as for me, I'm up about 2 grand so far, so its more then paid for itself already

YMMV I'd say. It all depends on the dealer and how good the tech is. If they think it's abnormal and excessive wear & tear not consistent with stock parts...
But then again, they'll be paid by the extended warranty providers.

Yep.
First off I don't condone fraud.
Secondly, i'm sure they would just laugh if anything broke and I wanted Honda Care to cover it. It's better to get a little back than none.
I will just continue to service the car myself and take care of it so I can enjoy it and not abuse it.
