cell phone holder
Hey there s2k fans,
any recommendations for good cell phone holders? please let me know. I just leave it clipped to the tunnel net. Putting it in the cupholder makes it difficult to shift.

i have a motorola V-series flip phone hard-wired into the car so that's it's FULLY hands-free. it's like a startac but smaller.
cradle is mounted on the right side of console tunnel just where the dash starts (i.e. down and to the right of the stereo cover when open).
the system has a mic mounted in the driver's side A-pillar, speaker under steering wheel, 3-watt booster in trunk and all wires neatly hidden - the guy did a wicked install job if i do say so myself.
phone turns on with ignition/accessory power and turns off when power is off. if you're on the phone but turn the car off, it won't disconnect the call until the call is over.
the entire system can also be manually turned on/off by hitting the power button on the phone at any time. obviously, i can take the phone out of the car and use it cellularly. when in the cradle, it is constantly charging.
people can hear me even with the roof down. it's also the safest way to go IMO.
i love it

$2 phone holding magnet from Walmart. I have mine stuck behind the wiper stalk on the dash, and it holds my Nokia there through every diving condition imaginable. It comes with a piece of metal that can be used if your phone isn't metallic enough, which is what I had to do.

damn, drogers, i coulda saved myself $498.00!!!
but seriously, i like my set-up, so i did it. plus, the v-series is crazy small - about the size of a complimentary box of wooden matches from a restaurant (2"x3").
at $500 bucks (includes phone), it may not be for everyone.
