Default Center Console Part?

Hello all. I cant post pictures right now so imma try my best to explain. I have an 01 and you know the center piece that holds the shifter boot, kinda silver in color? Is it replaceable or do I have to buy a whole new center console? haha sorry for the confusion, thanks.

Well if I am not mistaken you can take it off. I was looking at the AP1 console I just removed and it looks like its just held in with clips.

I don;t think they sell it separate. Why are you trying to replace it? Scratched up?

Oh ok. Mine has some small scratches on it if you want to get that one. I can show you pics. Also I am not sure if you have seen this link but you can remove the paint around that and what you end up with is a chrome looking ring. Just scroll to the bottom.

Let me know how it goes. Mine is exactly the same.

I looked at the other thread and I am not sure this applies to uk cars it appears there is just grey plastic behind it.

Ideally I want a new part. Anyone??

Alright, mine was to bad scratched up to save. I ended up taking some rubbing alchohol and some fine sand paper. I sanded the piece down, primed it and painted it. I went to a local body shop and bought some interior/dash paint. Titanium Silver. I think it looks good. Ill get some pics and post them when I have time to renew my membership haha. As always, thanks for the help guys.
