Default Central Jacking points from and rear??

Hi all,

Central Jacking points from and rear....where exactly are they on my S2000?? I want to jack it up but not at any one side. I guess there is a point that can be used to central jack????

Thanks,

A

Yees, in the rear you can jack up under the differential and safely lift the car. In the front, there's an area infront of the oil pan (don't jack up the engine LOL) on a crossmember that can be safely used to jack up the car.

I'm pretty sure that stuff is in the owners manual.

Yep, if you have a manual, it's in there!

CONFIRMED. Ludedude is correct. I've been doing this for years and the S2000 manual lists all of this information clearly. This is NOT your 94 T-Bird.

Here is a tip for you. Try using a piece of wood between the jack and the car when using either the diff or front engine area to jack up the car. The piece of wood will more evenly distribute the weight instead of centralizing all the weight on one spot.

If you have a jack that will actually slide under the front end, you are a lucky man. I have a front lip and I can't get mine under anymore.

The rear point works very well when you are changing tires at the track or for the track.

If you have one of the low rise racing jacks, the you should be able to reach the front center point on a stock car. Lowered or with a lip then it's all out the window.

In order to use a standard jack you'd have to use the stock jack to raise up one of the front corner jacking points a bit until you can get the jack under the center one up front. this might be too much of a pita to deal with but it depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
