I've just converted to the AP2 front bumper and OEM lip. You may be right. I was thinking about the one I saw on an AP1 bumper and no lip. It just looked weird.

First of all the bumper is just lacking all authority... I think the OEM AP1 bumper is nice, but its just not imposing enough... and that with something like canards would just be like
And second of all, the AP1 has those fake brake duct openings so I can't even see where the canards would go... the only places I can think of...would... DEFINITELY make it looks pretty ugly...
So I see why you are against canards on an OEM bumper
