I need your help on installing cf radiator cooling plate... (I thought this would be very very simple..grrr)

first, I took out the long metal piece which has weather strip attached ..(front of the car... 5 screws..)

Should I separate the weather strip from this metal piece , then re-attach this strip to new cf plate?
so.. I don't need the metal piece right?

Nope - no metal piece needed anymore.

 

If it still doesn't fit, adjust your hood latch and the bump stops. That should do the trick.
