Hey, I'm new to this forum. I drive a 2006 s2k... but I actually don't know what anything means. For example I don't really know what OEM means. Does Honda make a hardtop for the car or do you have to buy these custom ones? If you buy one, do you have to have a shop put it on or do you do it yourself. Sorry for these questions, but I'd really like to know as I am considering buying a hardtop at some point. Thanks!

Cheers,

Jeff
OEM mean original equipment by the manufacturer. So yes Honda does make a hardtop. But actually I think they stopped making them. There are always members putting theirs up for sale. And there are a lot of dealerships who still have these in stock. You should do a hardtop search on this forum to see all the different hardtops members have on theis cars so you can decide which one you think you would like. OEM or Mugen. Or Seibon. I personally like the Mugen hardtops. Hope I was informative. And welcome.

Why is there this much price difference??
One of the few reason brand name can overprize is it can add another extra 3~5HP.. mentally that's priceless!

You still able to place special order from Honda dealer, they'll get this hardtop directly from Japan for you. But you will get different $ from different dealer, unless they all give you the MSRP

The sale is too low, no one will stock them. Even the best Honda accessories website, they even don't want to sell this

IMO

I said dealers STILL have them in stock. There ARE plenty of dealerships that still have hardtops in their inventory.
