You're not alone. I just looked up some on line prices. $70,000 to $150,000 for the good ones.

A Honda dealer told me that the S2k is going to be discontinued in 2005 because it fails the saftey standards.

Which is interesting, because the s2k is scheduled to be redesigned in 2005.

hmm.. thats funny.. if you read the other forums, the redesign seems to be the end of this year not next year.

Barry and Other Old Porsche admirers:

I share your enthusiasm having owned 5 of these cars at various times. When I see a picture like the 356B Roadster (which I actually prefer over the Speedster) I remember the rust, restoration expenses and long-distance phone calls to some guy named Werner looking for that elusive 356 C horn button or left-side heater valve. I also fondly recall the many a%%hole 356 and 911 owners at the various meets I attended while a member of PCA and other Porsche clubs. Then I drive my beautiful, reliable, warranteed Honda S2000 and thank my good fortune to have survived 356 ownership with my marriage and economic solvency intact.

But they sure are pretty......

I spoke to a honda dealer and the new 2004 S2000 will have 260 horsepower. In 2005, there will be a coupe version offered. I do not know if they are going to bump up the displacement or not.

This will be the last year for the S2000. It's now considered a classic.
