I am intrigued by the diversity of opinion from all the owners.

Excluding performance enhancements what modifications do you think that Honda should make to the car as standard?

For the purposes of this thread can we assume that clock, rear wind screen, gearbox and transmission faults have already been done?

Personally I would like an oil pressure gauge a little more internal storage space (yes I know that goes against the minimalist interior styling) and as options tailor made luggage to maximise the use of the boot (trunk) for weekend trips and sat nav.

A 'proper' analogue dashboard. Some nice dials with chrome edges. Also, extra 2 speakers behind the seats would be nice. Up/down adjustment on the seat. And a nice heavy duty clutch :-)

I prefer dials too but I don't hate the current dash as much as I thought I would originally.

Personally I think the car is too noisy to worry too much about a megga stereo - one of the reasons I didn't have a CD fitted.

I would like height adjustable seats and steering wheel.

Could we settle on a reliable clutch?

I have found that this instrument arrangement conveys rpm / speed information better than any other I have had. IMO traditional gauges cannot be read as quickly so I have happily given up the idea of dials. (An improvement in instrumentation would be an accurate temp gauge as well as one for oil).

Stereo quality, as well as carpet and a few other things could be better, but I agree that the high ambient noise level would mean much spent on audio is a waste.

Actually I find the ergonomics to be very good. Initially I was wanting to adjust to what I was used to, but now I am quite comfortable.

I agree, the failures in the clutch and transmission have been my biggest complaints. Both have been repaired in my car, but I don

cdelena:

I agree about the guages. The digital dash while not classic does convey the info needed with just a glance at the panel. That's why racecars now use this type of dash.

How about some insulation around the transmition tunnel. Not for noise, but for the heat that radiates through.

Rear speakers would also be nice.

How about something better and "indoor/outdoor" carpet?

I'm shopping for one now (just missed a Silverstone by an hour on Saturday). But this is what I think is missing:

1. Heated seats
2. Telescoping steering wheel

A clutch that grips a bit more would my first request.

My second one is a bit strange and is more of an aesthetic request. I understand that Honda used different tire sizes fore and aft to improve handling, but I can't help but think that it looks a bit silly from some angles. Craziness?
