What is the charcoal looking color called? And why does it have to be so rare?

That color is called Moonrock and it is not available for U.S. based S2ks, therefore it is rare here in the U.S.

I Moonrock.

Cheapest way to get it in the states is to buy a silverstone (fastest color as suggested) and don't wash it for a while. Color may not always be consistent though.

How different is this color from Silverstone? Is it possible to get some shots in the light posted? I'm thinking of re-painting my car and I didn't want to change the color because of all the problems assocaited with the change, however . . . . maybe this change would be subtle enough to be okay. Looks awesome in the above pics! Looks like the Graphite Grey Pearl on the IS300.

Jsmply,

It's darker. Indeed, it's closer to a charcoal than Silverstone.
